KOSHER MEALS AVAILABLE FOR SENIORS Back

Sharon Willard, Vice President of Senior Services at the Community Action Agency of New Haven (CAANH), is pleased to announce that Kosher lunches are being served on Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:30AM at the West River Senior Center on 1562 Chapel Street and the Westville Senior Center on 349 McKinley Ave, both in New Haven.

The meals are made available by a grant from the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut as part of CAANH’s Elderly Nutrition Project with the support of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and the Elderly Services Department City of New Haven. The Project serves people 60 and over throughout the South Central Region of Connecticut and offers them a nutritious meal and time for socialization. The West River and Westville Centers in New Haven are among 23 sites in the Region where the lunches are served. Reservations for lunch must be made one day in advance.

For more information about the Kosher Meals or the Nutrition Program in general, call Dan Krevolin at Community Action at 203 387-7700 x232. To make a reservation for a kosher lunch, call the West River Senior Center at 946-8541 or the Westville Senior Center at 946-6025.
